Growing In Unity - Day 2

Hello! Welcome back for GIU Day 2.
Today I am going to share with you a quick and easy, fun to make card set.
The Itty Bitty stamp I used is Hello Daisy. I just love this stamp! It is so adorable and so fun!
The cards are 1/4 fold size and came from those dreaded bins at Target. (One can get into a lot of trouble with those Dollar Bins!) 
First, I "Ink Smooshed" the cards with green and blue marker. I found this technique under the Unity Quick Tips and you can view this tip right here. I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process. I stamped the image with black Memento ink, then colored the image in using my Prisma Color Pencils. After the image was colored, I filled in the image using Glossy Accents just to give it a little zing.

Oops! I got a head of myself. After the image was colored in, I stamped the sentiment on the inside. I'm not sure what kit it is from. I received it as one of the freebies that Unity Stamp Co. gives you when you place an order. Then I just simply cut a triangle corner piece and adhered it to the left side of the card.
The possibilities are endless as to what you can place in that little pocket. I decided on seed packets and am going to send them to friends to remind them how wonderful they are.

      Hi! I just used my tape runner on the 3 edges. The corner pocket is wider than the seed pack, so nothing sticks. Easy in and out.

    I LOVE the corner pocket idea! That would be great for a gift card for a birthday or maybe a tea bag and a few tissues in a get well card! Thanks for the great idea! Beautiful card!

    I love this idea. The pocket is a fun touch and I can see using it for lots of little gifts. I never thought of using glossy accents over pencils. Great idea.

    Fabulous packet holders. I love how your smashed background looks with the daisy. Facebook memories brought up the photo of the seed packer you made me last year It still makes me smile. Praying you have a blessed day. You are doing a great job showcasing Unity this week. I knew you would.
